Committee
Student Council is an organization managed by students and supervised by faculty members / Mentors. The Student Council is the representative student body which acts as the interface between the students and the management.
The Student Council ultimately operates with the objective of ensuring student welfare and actively engaging the students in the continuous growth of the students and ultimately of the institute. The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out institute activities and service projects.
Students who participate in student councils, under the supervision of a teacher or administrator, learn about the democratic process, civic responsibility, leadership, problem solving, and teamwork. Various student cells are:
CORPORATE INTERFACE & ALUMNI COMMITTEE (PLACEMENT CELL)
Placement cell Corporate Interface Committee is designed with an aim to have regular interaction with the corporate world. The cell would achieve this by way of various engagements with the corporate such as guest sessions, workshops and by creating opportunities for final and summer placements. Moreover, the cell would also plan and execute regular training interventions with the students to bridge the gap between industry expectations and skills and competencies of the students.
Keeping in mind the broad gamut of stakeholders of the placement cell, the purpose of committee is to arrive at a win-win situation for all by providing a meaningful career to all students enrolled. As an interface between corporate world and fresh management talent, we assume a greater responsibility of matching the right talent with the right set of companies to work for.
Alumni Cell is developed with the purpose of building an alumni base and network between the institute and the Alumni to encourage alumni to contribute to the growth of the institute.
The cell would achieve this by way of providing the alumni with resources, infrastructure, and opportunities as a platform to develop an association with the institute.
The cell draws its authority from the powers delegated by the Governing Council through the Director to perform its tasks.
Keeping in mind the stakeholders of the Alumni cell, with the broad purpose of building Alumni network it is expected to get maximum contribution from alumni.
TECHNICAL COMMITTEE
Technical committee serves as a support system to various other committees. The core function of this committee is to ensure that events will be conducted smoothly. Power backup, PPT Presentations, Personnel Addressing System should work properly and efficiently.
The objective is to work towards ensuring the smooth conduction of any program being conducted in the Auditorium of the institute.
CULTURAL COMMITTEE
We as a cultural committee believe that a college should have fun during all the events and festivals. We offer and give chance to the students to showcase their talent through dance, music, acting, painting, etc.
The main objective of cultural committee is to promote and arrange various extracurricular activities for the students. Cultural activities will be held throughout the year and eminent people in their respective fields are invited from different streams to take part in these programmes.
SEMINAR & PRESS COMMITTEE
The Seminar committee works towards the smooth functioning of all the corporate events / Lectures / Series organized at the institute. Seminar Committee will ensure smooth conduction of any program being conducted in the Auditorium of the institute.
The objective is to work towards ensuring the smooth conduction of any program being conducted in the Auditorium of the institute.
Press & Media committee has been formed with the intention to create & document all the records of the committee. The committee is also responsible for Media Coverage for the big events organized at the committee. The committee will also prepare the e-magazine of the Institute, where all the events of the academic year will be covered.
The primary objective is to augment brand RIIM in the Print and Online media and enhance writing skills of students & to collect and compile all the records of the events organized by various committees.
GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE
Grievance committee of RIIM has been formed with the purpose of maintaining and guiding the students and solving the grievances of the Institute. Through this committee, the students shall be continuously monitored and ensured that no grievance should happen. In case, the grievance occurred, it should be resolved with utmost priority. The main objective of the committee is to resolve each and every grievance occurred at the institute. The committee also seeks for quick remedial action and assurance that the same problem will not occur in future.
SPORTS COMMITTEE
The sport committee is formed with the intention to develop the sports culture amongst the students. Sports team will work under the guidance of Chairman Sir and Director Sir. It will ensure that the sports culture will be developed amongst the students without hampering a daily academic routine of the students. The main objective is to prepare a conducive environment for eminence in sports. The cell also organizes 'Sports Day', that enable the students to display their talent on the field. Its never all work and no play here at RIIM-ARIHANT.
SOCIAL COMMITTEE & ENTREPRENEURSHIP CELL
The Social committee will consist of a committee incharge (Faculty member) & student coordinators. This committee will work under the guidance & supervision of Hon. Chairman & Hon. Director. The main objective is to expose the students to importance of “Social Responsibility” of citizens of India.
This E-Cell body has been constituted by the Director/ HoD and faculty with the broad purpose of building a strong base and network between the institute and the Entrepreneurs to encourage the young entrepreneurs to contribute to the growth of the institute.
The cell would achieve this by way of providing the young entrepreneurs with resources, infrastructure, and opportunities as a platform to develop an association with the institute.
The cell draws its authority from the powers delegated by the Governing Council through the Director to perform its tasks. Keeping in mind the stakeholders of the Entrepreneur cell, with the broad purpose of building a strong network it is expected to get maximum contribution from the budding Entrepreneurs.
FOOD COMMITTEE
As a large amount of the students at RIIM stays at hostel, a quality food has a huge importance. We have to ensure the health of the students. Students should not fell sick because of bad food quality and above all they should not miss the homemade food. The objective is to provide quality food to each and every student & to ensure the health of the students.
HOSTEL COMMITTEE
As a large amount of the students at RIIM are not local, they stay at the college hostel. RIIM provides Hostel accommodation to its students and manage its day to day operations. The following rules shall apply to students residing in the Hostel (Violation of any rule will make the inmate liable to disciplinary action including expulsion from the Hostel and also from RIIM.
The objective is to create an atmosphere of harmony and co-operation amongst the boarders & to provide the boarders a peaceful and congenial environment to enable them to excel in their studies and personality development.
DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE
This Committee has been formed with the purpose of maintaining and guiding the students for best disciplinary practices to be followed in and around the Institute Campus.
Through this cell the students shall be continuously monitored if the best disciplinary practices are adhered to as specified in the Institute's code of conduct. Also if there is any violation of the code of conduct then those defaulters shall be penalized suitably as per the type of default by suitable authority.
Apart from penalizing the defaulters, this cell shall also identify and counsel the defaulters if possible via guidance and counseling sessions. The cell draws its authority from the powers delegated by the Governing Council through the Director to perform its tasks.
